With tampon tax finally being cut, there seems like no better time than to talk about a topic that really should be talked about. It's probably the most natural process in the world, and yet is shunned to the 'do not discuss' pile. I won't judge you if you don't want to carry on reading, but isn't it about time us girls finally felt proud of our bodies and the side effects of being a woman?
Veeda contacted me recently and asked if I'd like to try some of their sanitary products, and being an environmentally conscious woman, well I just couldn't say no. My periods are the definition of 'bloody hell' and that might be a little TMI for you, but I really am fed up of it being an awkward conversation. It always amazes me how one person's definition of 'normal' for their menstrual cycle, is completely different to someone else's. So can we hurry up and make it an average thing to discuss, please?
Anyway, back to the topic at hand, Veeda's products. They really are amazing. They're 100% natural cotton products, containing no chemicals, fragrances or dyes, and as a result their tampons reduce the risk of TSS. If you're not a fan of tampons, they also sell towels and liners, which are also 100% natural cotton. As they're made of cotton that isn't synthetic, they're probably the softest thing I've ever used. The towels, which I was also kindly sent to try, come wrapped in a biodegradable wrap. Even if you're not the most environmentally aware person, you have to admit, it's a pretty good addition. They're the kind of product that once you use once, you'll be converted.
